Public access terminals or kiosks provide access to the Internet, information and other services at public locations in an unusual for the PC user environment and at a low cost.
Unlike ordinary PC's placed in public locations, the contents and services provided through kiosks are carefully selected to be relevant to their installation locations.
The interface is significantly simplified, so that the devices can be used with ease by people without computer literacy.
